All Newel Posts except NP 702 are turned
from solid cedar. The price includes a primer coat.
At the tops of the newels, are turned sections called
finials
(post tops). The finials are interchangeable
on the six inch posts. Please specify when ordering. When newel posts are shipped, the tops are shipped in a separate box and are screwed on to the tops of the posts when received. To view Finial (Post Top) Selection click here.
Example: The "URN" style finial top on NP 703 may be
ordered to go on NP 701 and the "BALL" style finial can be put on NP 703.
NP 701-NP707 all
have a minimum of 47" below the finial for below
the deck mounting if necessary. NP 700 represents an
additional amount of bottom square for mounting. Scroll down to see our mounting hardware. (BELOW)
NP 702 newel is built for specific requirements.
It may be built using weather resistant woods for outdoors,
or stainable woods for interior stair casings. This
newel has turned rosettes on the lower and upper part.
The center is comprised of four fluted panels. The top
may include a finial as pictured or a plain square cap.
This newel may be ordered with certain parts removable,
for concealed installation. The center of this newel
is hollow which may allow it to slide over an existing
support pole. The molding locations are customized to
specific railing heights. |
