This is an end view of several installation
methods. When the sub rail is shipped separately, the sub
rail is attached to the center of the baluster, using concealed
fasteners, and then attached to top rail. Care must be
taken to insure that the sub rail is sealed on outside
edges from water run off.
The sub rail may be ordered pre attached,
and we can supply your balusters with a dowel screw inserted
in to the lathe center at the top baluster (dia.3). When
using this method, the bottom of the sub rail is pre drilled
on the correct baluster spacing and the baluster is twisted
into the hole, where by it is automatically registered
in the correct position side to side and on the desired
baluster spacing. The bottom of the baluster is attached
with one corrosion resistant screw through the bottom rail,
which has been pre drilled the same as the top rail. This
method uses the lathe center, which is a center depression
on each end of the baluster. It quickly aligns the balusters
in there correct location. This is the best method for
home owners who would like to install their own rail system
with out hiring a contractor. In order to use this system,
you would need to order your balusters with the dowel screw, and the separate drill kit.
Please call if you need help on this
method. Please note that the above installation methods
show attachment using corrosion resistant screws. We sell
these screws separately, if you can not locate them locally.800-360-2119.
